Batwings and Spiders!

Following on from the success of the spring CraftJam, and the summer Crafty Fridays, we are ran a free craft activity for kids this half term, on Thursday 30th November.

Lots of lovely youngsters came along to our Refresh shop in the Chilterns Shopping Centre, and enjoyed making spiders and bat wings! Suitably themed for Halloween. What was good to see was that some of the youngsters who had come earlier in the year to our other events came back - so we must be doing something right!

These simple craft activities give children an opportunity to learn about using their hands, drawing, sticking, glueing, all vital life skills, and also, as we now know, crafting is such a good activity to help mental health as well. And, by coming to Refresh, you can rest easy that the craft activities are using materials that would otherwise have been thrown away - helping the planet while we enjoy ourselves.
