No-news news

Now, it just shows we aren’t comms experts, because who would title one of the biggest news stories in the life of Refresh as no-news news? Well, because that’s just what it is…

And if no-news turns into good news, we may be calling on the help of lovely volunteers and customers at exactly the wrong time of year, because it will be move-news!

What are we talking about?! Many of you know that we, Refresh, have to move out of our current shop by the end of this year. Yes, that’s this calendar year. And yes, you are right, that’s so many weeks to go…

… and you might think by now we would know where we are going…

Well, one of the worst kept secrets is that we, Refresh, have been offered a lease on a new shop, but we are being very careful not to tempt fate or anything else for that matter before we have signed the lease - which we hope will be in the next week or two. So for a little while longer we are staying schtum on exactly where we hope we are moving to. So that’s the no-news.

But we know that (if it comes good) we will be needing to move before Christmas. Which isn’t great timing, we agree, but it’s where we are. And that’s the news! The big but not yet allowed to break story!

It could be end of November, or the first 2 weeks of December.

If you are able to give us an hour or a day around that time, that would be fabulous, to pack, move, and unpack - and if you could ‘save the date’ - well, OK, the three week window (are we being greedy!) we will update you on the plans just as soon as we have any good-news to replace the no-news news!

We promise you plenty of minced pies, and even more good cheer, because that’s what we like to make at Refresh - we may work hard, but we have such fun doing it, and we know the move will be just the same!
