Celebrate World Refill Day at Refresh
You may not have 16th June down in your diary as a day to celebrate - but let’s put that right. Its world refill day, and using refillable household products is just one of the small ways that we can each make a small reduction in the impact we have on the planet, by reducing the amount of plastic waste. That’s something to celebrate.
And in High Wycombe, you can get your household refills from Refresh. Perhaps a little hidden at the back of the shop is a gem of common sense.
You come along with your empties, and fill up! No more plastic bottles needed. And, carefully using the pump handles on large 5 litre bottles, you use our refill pitstop.
We use miniml products, which, as the name suggests, keeps things simple, not only in the ingredients used, but also in packaging necessary. Even the 5 litre bottles once they are empty don’t get scrapped - we send them back to Miniml either for re-use for for responsible recycling.
We stock:
Washing up liquid
Multi purpose cleaning spray
Hand soap
Body wash
Laundry liquid
Fabric conditioner
If you find you have forgotten to bring your empty, we have a variety of second hand glass jars and plastic bottles that you can use.
We don’t stock the full miniml range, and if there are products that you think we should be selling (take a look at their website here), drop us a line at shop@refreshwycombe.org and we will explore if we can get that in too!
Miniml was founded by Emma Tapper and Scott Rudd. Emma suffered with sensitive skin and questioned why the everyday products we use on and around us often contain ingredients we wouldn’t choose elsewhere. They set out to create products that protect skin without compromising on performance or fragrance. Built in Yorkshire and grown from a garage start-up into a trusted household brand, Miniml makes gentle, effective formulas for your skin, your home and everything in between.
Emma and Scott say they don’t want to leave our mark on the world, in fact, they will keep working to ensure they leave no trace that we were ever here at all.
