Overview: Discovering Bees & Other Pollinators

Come and find out more - not just about the fascinating world of honey bees, but also bumble bees, solitary bees and a whole host of other pollinators! Did you know we have over 250 native bees in the UK?

There will be a short introduction, then different tables to move around with activities, things to look at and people to talk to.

Discover the wonders of pollination in just one afternoon! Learn what pollination is, which plants to grow to support pollinators, how to build a bee hotel, try your hand at candle rolling, explore what makes an insect, identify bumblebees, understand how a honeybee colony works, and uncover the threats pollinators face — all in one exciting session!

Everyone is welcome - including interested children that bring an adult with them. If you need to drive there is some parking at Wrights Meadow Centre and also round the corner in the Wycombe Retail Park.
