Overview: A gentle evening stroll from the town centre, exploring some of the history, geography and ecology of our local river - from mills and watercress beds, to the wildlife using the chalk stream today. We'll look at the information boards and maps dotted along the route and invite people to share their own memories & knowledge. We'll meet by the river in front of the Swan Theatre from 7pm, leaving at 7.15pm to walk downstream and pick up one of the many buses that use London Road to return to the town centre.
