The Cosy Pumpkin

October arrives with golden leaves and the quiet pull of home comforts. It feels like the right moment for a small seasonal make: a knitted pumpkin, full of autumn charm.

The pattern was created by four mischievous makers who prefer to stay completely anonymous — like crafty little fairies sneaking through the yarn basket. They’ve left behind this simple, joyful pumpkin for anyone daring enough to follow their tricks!

Knit one as a keepsake, or gather a small patch to share with friends. Each will carry its own character, stitched with the spirit of October.

The Cosy Pumpkin Pattern

What You’ll Need

  • Yarn scraps of any type, less than 25g is enough for one pumpkin (approx. 20 × 10 cm)

  • Knitting needles – size to suit your yarn

  • Stuffing – toy stuffing, fabric scraps, or yarn ends.

  • Tapestry needle – for sewing up and shaping the pumpkin

  • Piece of fabric – a small circle to cover the stuffing

  • You can finish the pumpkin with: a small crochet stalk (pattern provided),a natural twig or cinnamon stick, a piece of rolled felt or a short knitted tube. Choose whichever feels easiest or most seasonal
